The project looks to restore Birnbeck Island to its former glory, the atmosphere of the funfair, and a return to dancing and revelry, reinvented for the eco-generation. The proposed Weston-Super-Eco Pier allow visitors and locals to pay for stay in the eco-lodge linked to their carbon emissions. Then try out the eco-cycle route around the island and through Weston Woods. Relax after a hard day saving the planet in the floating pool and mud baths, hang out in our hammocks under the pier. In the evenings, the banquet hall lights up. Join in the tea dances, feast over scones and jam made from fruit grown in our saltwater greenhouses. The proposal aimed to reinvent seaside tourism in Britain with a sustainable approach.
