Competition entry to build modular and mobile schools in Mae Sot, Thailand for Burmese refugee children as part of a fund-raising initiative by Building Trust International.

The modular design proposed a framework of timber and bamboo units clad in a flexible concrete impregnated fabric which could be quickly assembled and arranged in a variety of configurations to suit different topographical challenges. Low cost and ecologically sensitive rainwater collection and waste water filtering strategies were crucial considerations in creating a holistic and sustainable design strategy.
